A Life-way Sunday School Series Have you ever noticed that we’re called human beings—not human doers? That’s because what we do flows out of who we are. The word that defines who we are at the core is character.When people describe someone as kind, generous, humble—or on the other hand, mean, selfish, or hypocritical—they’re describing that person’s character. Character is the truest reflection of what’s inside us. And the basic message of this study is simple but profound: Character matters. Character counts.Much of the influence we have on others for Christ doesn’t come from our words, but from our character. Whether we display integrity, generosity, humility, or peace in our hearts determines whether people are drawn toward Christ or turned away. These qualities reflect Jesus Himself.
Throughout this series, we’ll be asking an important question: “What am I going to do with myself?” Each lesson won’t simply tell us what to do; it will show us why our character counts.
