The Simple Life

True happiness is found in a simple life, rather than a life complicated by seeking material abundance and being too involved and busy with too many things. Jesus certainly lived a simple life and told us plainly that, "...a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth" (Luke 12:15). We need to quit accumulating things, be content with such things as we have, center our lives around family, church, and God, and guard against anything that might interfere with those simple, but most important things of life. Living a simple life like this leads to contentment, while the pursuit of material things leads to spiritual emptiness and unhappiness.
