I Put Thee in Remembrance

Timothy is wavering, not regarding the Gospel,but the preaching of the Gospel. His father in the faith and mentor, Paul was in the maximum security Roman prison. Persecution had intensified, with Christianity being outlawed. The fire that had moved him to action was burning low. Paul encouraged him to look within to his God-given gift, look back to his calling to the ministry and to look up to God for strength. God's power and love were the antidote to fear; action was the support needed for a sound mind. If Timothy needed this advice so do believers today.
