The Problem of a Divided Heart

I. God's commands are perfect, good and to be completely followed - Problem is our hearts are often divided between Him and the things of the world.

II. A divided heart leads to:
A. I want the easy way
B. I can't / won't do it His way.
C. I'll compromise and tolerate sin.

III. Thus, we need an external righteousness and atoning sacrifice - the grace of of God in Jesus Christ.
