The Wind and the Waves

Early in Jesus' earthly ministry He took a trip across the Sea of Galilee with His disciples. While Jesus was sleeping a storm comes up and the disciples cry out to Him for help. If you remember the story Jesus rebuked the wind and spoke to the waves. Why did Jesus do two different things to calm the storm?
