Stephen: A Faith That Advances God’s Kingdom06
Stephen: A Faith That Advances God's Kingdom. Acts 6:3–15; 7:60 (KJV) We explore the bold and unwavering faith of Stephen, the first Christian martyr. Chosen for his strong faith and wisdom, Stephen was a servant leader in the early church. His bold proclamation of the gospel and fearless confrontation of truth stirred opposition, leading to false accusations and ultimately his death.Despite intense persecution, Stephen remained faithful, showing grace even to his attackers by praying for their forgiveness as he was being stoned (Acts 7:60).
His courage and commitment to Christ advanced God's kingdom by inspiring others, including a young man named Saul, who would later become the Apostle Paul.
Stephen's life teaches us that bold faith is not without risk, but it is powerful. When we stand for truth and speak the gospel with conviction, even in the face of adversity, God uses our faith to move His kingdom forward.
