The believer rejoices, knowing the trials of this life are a means to a glorious end.

We see that:

1. It is with the knowledge of God's truth that he rejoices in the midst of various trials.
2. This truth enables him to see that these trials refine his faith.
3. He understands that a refined faith is needed if he will receive the end.
