The Promise of the Lord's Spirit on Our Offspring

As we turn to the words of our text as recorded for us in Isaiah 44:1-5 we find ourselves being incredibly comforted by the fact that even though you and I, like the exiled Israelites of old, are also sinners deserving of nothing other than the just judgment of an entirely holy and righteous God, still in all this good and gracious God promised them, and He also promises us today, that He will not simply continue to care for the physical and spiritual needs of all of the members of His covenant community, but He even goes so far as to Promise the Outpouring of His Holy Spirit On Our Offspring!
