Irenaeus: Connected to the Truth

Irenaeus was an important leader in the Early Church (2nd Century AD). Originally from Smyrna in Asia Minor, he ended up as the pastor in Lyons (France). His writings refute the early heresy of Gnosticism. His appeal to the authority of Scripture are important historical support for the New Testament Canon.
