Repent and Believe the Gospel - Christ's First and Last Sermon

Today we consider repentance.
The causes of true repentance:
a. true repentance is of Gospel origin.
b. true repentance is of gracious origin.

The characteristics of true repentance are:
illumination; humiliation; detestation (of sin); apprehension (of mercy); transformation (from within)

The companions of true repentance are:
faith; confession; peace (of heart and mind) with God.
