‭Are You Ready for Easter?

interruption‬
‭3.‬ ‭He said to His disciples, know the Son of Man is to be
delivered up‬ ‭for crucifixion - 2‬
‭4.‬ ‭Plot to kill Jesus – 3-5‬
‭5.‬ ‭The many responses to what was happening in Matt. 26.‬
‭6.‬ ‭2 people stand out in the crowd, first Simon the Leper

‭At the home of a friend for a meal – (7-13)‬
‭1.‬ ‭The woman's retort – (7) – pours perfume on His head‬
‭2.‬ ‭The disciple's reaction – (8-9) - They were angry with
indignation - 8‬
‭○‬ ‭They considered this a waste, a complete loss.‬
‭ ○‬ ‭There is a better option – (9)‬
‭○‬ ‭Everyone else seemed to be living in the moment,
she did‬ ‭not.‬
‭○‬ ‭Had they forgotten for a moment why Jesus was
here?‬
‭3.‬ ‭Jesus' response – (10-13)‬
‭○‬ ‭Why do you bother/trouble her? Leave her alone
– (10)‬
‭○‬ ‭It's not about her or the poor, but me (11) and she‬
‭understands this‬
‭ ○‬ ‭Her motive was pure as the perfume she seemingly
wasted –‬ ‭(12)‬
‭ ○‬ ‭What she has done will make a difference in
people's lives –‬ ‭(13)‬
‭■‬ ‭Because it is done for the sake of the gospel.‬
‭■‬ ‭She is called a woman, but you have heard and share‬
‭ the gospel in memorial to her.‬
‭■‬ ‭She was ready for Easter!‬
‭■‬ ‭A stark contrast to most others.‬
