Passion of Christ (15) -- His Mistreatment By The Soldiers

The focus of the text examined in this message is the sadistic treatment and shameful mockery of Jesus by the soldiers and the glorious example of Jesus in the midst of His suffering at their cruel hands. The exposition is concluded with pointed application of lessons to be learned from the passage.

This is another in a series of sermons on the Passion narrative from a larger series of expositions of the Gospel according to Mark.

We witness, from the very Word of God itself, the suffering and agony of Jesus Christ in His final hours leading to His atoning death on the cross beginning in Gethsemane. Its meaning and relevance for Jesus Christ and for you and me are clearly opened up and powerfully applied throughout this series of messages.
