A Witness in the Plague

The world has been ravaged by plagues before; and historically the church has been at the forefront in caring for the sick and burying the dead. The Cyprian Plague ravaged the Roman Empire from 250-270 A.D.; killing 5000 people a day at its height. The only group who flourished during this time was the Christians, who risked their life to minister to others. Some died as martyrs, but their example brought great expansion tot he church. During times of crisis, the church should be a strong and courageous witness, rather than cowering in fear like the unbelievers who don't have eternal life.
