Water: The Key to Life

On the last day of the Feast of Tabernacles, Jesus invited the people there to come to Him and drink. He used the word-picture of water to teach the people that He is the only one that can satisfy their thirst for happiness and joy. We often rely on our own strength or on other people or things to satisfy our thirst for fulfillment in life – like drinking stagnant water that can make you sick or even kill you. But Jesus offers Himself, like living water that is always fresh, always flowing, and able to give us eternal life.
