The Real Identity of Jesus Christ

In this message the question, "Who was Jesus Christ?," will be answered. Dr. Brown will how the Apostle John knew who He was, and how we can know that Jesus Christ was God in the flesh. In order to do this a group of people called the Gnostics will be identified. One sect of Gnostics, the Docetic Gnostics, denied the humanity of Christ teaching that his human body was only an illusion. The Cerinthian Gnostics separated the Christ from the man Jesus. Hence, they denied the actual deity of Jesus; that is that Jesus was God in the flesh, the Son of God. This message is very appropriate for our day, in light of numerous books like Dan Brown’s THE DA VINCI CODE, which seeks to demolish the deity of Jesus Christ.
