The Love of the Father

John, one of the Sons of Thunder, is now the John the Beloved. He has been changed by the grace of God; many today say they belong to Christ, yet are not radically changed. John directs this exhortation to the hearts of his listeners, saying that the intimate love of the Father won't be manifest in their lives if they love the world. The love for the Father forbids love for the world.
