8. Ministers of The Word and Sacraments

The phrase 'Ministers of the Word and Sacraments' is jargon, but when taken seriously the phrase is highly significant. At the same time, in common use it does seem a bit strained, as 'Ministers of the Word' often, even usually, in evangelical circles, is taken to mean preaching or Bible teaching, while in some places 'Sacraments' are neither understood biblically nor, apparently, practiced as often as previously.
