Christ Our Refuge

God wants to convey to us His strong consolation to us, so, because He could sware by no greater, He sware by Himself; that we can flee to Christ for refuge. The difference between us and the Israelites of old is that we ARE guilty and deserving of vengeance by the revenger of blood. However, we have mercy in the City of Refuge, which is Christ.
