The Super Bowls

In this very sobering passage, we read the introduction or “backdrop” to the bowls of God’s wrath that are then described in chapter 16. John “sees” in heaven the last of God’s righteous judgment (“I saw” is used 42 times). What does he see? John sees the Messengers of God’s Wrath (15:1); the Witnesses to God’s Wrath (15:2-4); and the Execution of God’s Wrath (15:5-16:1). Almighty God will send His messengers to complete His wrath and judgment upon the Beast and unrepentant sinners.
