Preparation for Disappointment

When we develop unbiblical expectations we set ourselves up for crippling disappointment. If we would know the peace of God then we need to get our expectations in line with God's. True Thanksgiving is not thanking God that we got what we want. It is thanking God that he has given us what we need to glorify him. Sometimes that's in line with what we want and often it is not. When we learn to live this way truly we will know the peace of God in every situation.
