The Power of God's Providence

In his classic 15th Century devotional entitled, “The Imitation of Christ”, the German Monk Thomas a’ Kempis writes, “Man proposes but God disposes.” Similarly, in the Holy Spirit inspired words of our text in Proverbs 16:33 we read, “The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the Lord.” Consequently, my dear Brothers and Sisters in Jesus Christ, as we turn to the teaching of this particular text together, may God grant to us all the grace to increasingly rest and rejoice in the comfort, confidence and courage to be found by means of a careful and prayerful consideration of The Power of God’s Providence!
