His Great Love

Ephesians 2:4
But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

The sermon centres on Ephesians 2:4, highlighting God's 'great love' as the foundational reality of salvation by grace through faith, not of works. It emphasises that this love is extraordinary because it reaches the most hopeless—sinners dead in trespasses, disobedient, defiled, and under God's wrath—yet still draws near with mercy and life. The love of God is revealed in the divine plan of salvation through Christ, which includes regeneration, restoration to fellowship with God, and redemption, all accomplished by the Spirit's work and Christ's atoning sacrifice. The ultimate purpose of this love is not only present redemption but eternal display in the ages to come, where God's exceeding riches of grace and kindness will be shown through redeemed lives, transforming the sinner's destiny from wrath to eternal blessing. The message calls all to respond in faith, recognising that God's love is both the source and the hope of salvation.
