The Palsied Man Healed

Jesus healed the man with palsy (paralysis) right in front of the eyes of the unbelieving Pharisees, but still, they didn't believe. However, the four men who brought the man to Jesus believed before Jesus healed the man. Jesus deliberately revealed his power right in front of the Pharisees, asking them why they reasoned in their heart about whether Jesus should have said, "Son, thy sins have been forgiven", or "Arise, take up they bed and go unto thy house".

Others were amazed when the man was healed, as they should have been. But unbelievers will not believe. The reason? These Pharisees are lost, like Pharaoh, who saw the miracles Moses performed before him by the power of God. Even when Pharaoh's magicians told Pharaoh they could not produce lice because Moses produced lice by the power of God, he refused to submit himself to God and allow Israel to leave Egypt.

It is better to repent and believe. Never trust your own understanding, because Jesus controls everything. God created this world and universe by speaking it into existence because he wanted to. It is impossible to go wrong when you repent and believe God, who has all power in heaven and earth.
