This class centers on holiness as the ultimate goal and evidence of genuine discipleship, emphasizing that true spiritual growth is marked by increasing obedience to Christ, which reflects God's character and brings Him glory. Rooted in Scripture, it affirms that while believers are positionally holy in Christ, sanctification — progressive conformity to His image — is a lifelong process requiring both divine grace and intentional, loving encouragement from fellow believers. The teacher underscores that obedience is not mere rule-keeping but the natural outflow of love for Christ, and that disciplers must foster this holiness through prayer, biblical confrontation, personal example, and accountability within the church community. Crucially, the discipler must also pursue holiness, modeling Christ-like living as the foundation for authentic discipleship, since spiritual formation is both a divine work and a shared responsibility among believers.
