The Sanctity of a Child's Life

An indication of a nation's strength or weakness before God is the way it treats its children. In our passage God is speaking about the sins that characterized the nations he was about to cut off from the land of Canaan… These nations were filled with the sins of adultery, incest, homosexuality and bestiality. In addition, God speaks of how they wickedly sacrificed their own children to the god of Moloch. “25 and the land became unclean, so that I punished its iniquity, and the land vomited out its inhabitants.” Lev18:25.

It is alarming to think that many of the same sins which marked those wicked nations 3400 years ago characterize our own country today. Abortion is a modern form of idolatry. We must stand up and remind our country of God's hatred for this sin. We must also assure those who come to our churches and have had abortions or encouraged others to… Jesus came to save, cleanse and forgive all sin including that of abortion. He is able to wash you clean and redeem you from living in bondage to the guilt associated with this sin.
