The Hallelujah Chorus

The words of Handel's majestic chorus open a small window, as it were, into the anthems of Heaven. Those words provide the antidote to every cause of discouragement. These verses speak of the final, glorious victory of the Lord Jesus Christ over all of His enemies. They draw our attention beyond the problems we confront in our Christian pilgrimage and fill us afresh with hope and expectation that our great Savior and King will not leave a single enemy standing. This prospect is cause for our praise.
