Brother Chris Mills brings us to this portion of 1 Peter that many, in this day and age, would love to either gloss over, or seek to fit into a man-made mold. But he deals with it straight forward, as Peter did to his audience then, and exhorts all to submit, first, unto the LORD through a life lead by godly example and obedience to HIS will and word. But second, and more specifically to the text, for godly wives to submit to their own husbands from the internal to the external, showing CHRIST in all they say, do and think, despite who their husbands are, but entrusting themselves to GOD through it all.
