Galilee of the Gentiles

Why did the Jewish leaders of Jesus's day hate Galilee so bad? Because it was known as a gentile region. To suggest that the Messiah would come from Nazareth was odious to them. Yet, Jesus fulfilled all prophecy concerning the Messiah by being born in Bethlehem and by ministering in Galilee. God typically does things in an unexpected way, thus exalting the humble and humbling the arrogant.
