Your Body, the Temple of the Holy Ghost

1 Corinthians 6:19-20

'What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.'

The sermon centres on the profound truth that every believer's body is a living temple of the Holy Spirit, a sacred space where God dwells by virtue of Christ's sacrificial death, which purchased and sanctified the believer. Drawing from 1 Corinthians 6:19–20, it emphasises that this divine indwelling demands total transformation—shaping how believers live in purity, purpose, and service, not merely in religious rituals but in every sphere of life. The message calls young people to recognise the gravity of their identity in Christ, to reject worldly indulgence, and to steward their bodies as instruments of holiness and witness, reflecting God's presence in a broken world. It underscores that true sanctification is not a passive state but an active, lifelong commitment to serving God, empowered by His Spirit and rooted in the finished work of Christ on the cross.
