Habakkuk: Watch and Be Astounded

Today Pastor Wayne Sanders shares with the congregation of Chardon Christian Fellowship about what had happened in Israel leading up to the first chapter of Habakkuk. From 2 Kings 20 he shares about King Hezekiah's complacent reaction to the prophet Isaiah's words concerning his household being overthrown and carried away to Babylon. Does it seem that the church today is standing by while our land is being overrun by wickedness? Is our judgement close at hand as Israel's was at the time? Are we seeking the movement of God as desperately as Habakkuk was in his time? God answers Habakkuk's cry and tells him to watch the nations and be astounded at his work of judgement. God can still work a miracle in our society but do the people have a heart ready to turn to God or will they have to experience the hand of God's protection being removed first? It is time for the church to be on our faces before God repenting and desperately seeking His Spirit to convict this land. Your reaction to this call will determine if you are more like Hezekiah or more like Habakkuk? Listen to learn why. May God bless you this day!
