Power with Compassion

Though Israel had sinned, God chose a leader to deliver them from her enemies because He heard their cry. Saul is an unassuming leader by every account and God gives him a heart of both valour in battle and compassion in victory. For this vignette of his life, Saul is a wonderful example of God's fruitfulness in the life of a willing servant.
