God's Vineyard

Jesus speaks the Parable of the Wicked Husbandmen, also known as the parable of the Tenants. It speaks of a vineyard that God has created (echoing Isaiah 51). The wicked husbandmen want it to themselves on their own terms so they reject the householder's (vineyard owners) servants and kill his son. This represents what Israel has done to the prophets and will do to the Messiah, Jesus. Jesus is the cornerstone and all will either fall upon the stone in repentance or be ground to powder if they remain in rebellion.
