Waiting... patiently

Waiting on God is an active thing. Even if you feel in a pit, treading through heavy clay yet the psalmist tells us to wait patiently - the Christian is not like the world, the world would act to do something whilst the Christian waits in full confidence upon the Lord. Psalm 40 challenges the very fabric of our faith.
