What is the true power of the church? For generations, Christians have been promised power—power to live holy, power to overcome sin, power to change the world. But does the church really have power, and if so, where does it come from? In this series, “The Illusion of Church Power,” we examine common claims about where the church’s strength lies—adherence to the Word, consecrated living, Spirit-filled experiences, zeal for the lost—and test them against Scripture, reality, and the Gospel itself.
