As a follower of Christ, you are commanded to always be “ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you” (1 Pet. 3:15). In this class we will study theodicy, or the ‘problem of evil’. How could a God who is both all-powerful and all-good allow evil into His creation? Where did evil come from and who is responsible for it? We will use the book, Defeating Evil: How God Glorifies Himself in a Dark World by Scott Christensen as a tool to help us establish a strong biblical foundation from which to stand firm, and answer confidently, when an unbeliever asks, “What about evil?”
