Castles & Citadels In Israel

3 Sermons | Mar 6, 2023 - Feb 17, 2026

"Castles & Citadels in Israel," invites us to journey through the ancient fortresses and fortified churches of Israel. Each structure tells a story of resilience, protection, and divine purpose, much like the spiritual lessons they can teach us about the role of the Church. Drawing from my personal visit to these historic sites in 2008 with John Hagee, this study connects the physical walls of these edifices to the spiritual walls we are called to build and maintain as a body of believers.Walls have always served as more than physical barriers—they define, protect, and sometimes isolate. As Proverbs reminds us, "Good fences make good neighbors." Walls provide boundaries, security, and identity, whether they stand around a city, a castle, or our hearts. In a home, walls mark where we live, eat, and rest. In a fortress, they guard treasures and protect from invaders. This series is dedicated to exploring how these ancient walls and fortifications relate to the Church today. (Dedicated to Dot Jenkins)
