According to The Sermon on The Mount in Matthew 5, particularly Matthew 5:20-26, all wrathful anger is really the sin of murder. The Account of Cain and Abel in Genesis 4 clearly attests to the fact that anger is one of the principal causes of murder. Of course, this is never discussed in secular anger management because secular anger management asserts that anger is a "mental illness" rather than an actual act of murder. A much needed podcast discussing this sinful act of murder called anger.

This is a very good message asking us to look inward and see where we are with Christ Jesus. Our growth should be evident when we look back 5+ years and see how different we are in our path to being more like Jesus Christ. We should be more diligent in studying the Holy Bible and have a greater hunger for deeper meaning of the Holy Scriptures. We should be less involved in the world's temptations and have a less sinful life than past years. Many good reminders of what to look for inside of ourselves.

What an encouraging sermon in times of trouble! I highly recommend it. It was a balm to my soul. Thank you!

After losing sleep last night, I was searching for something to help me cast my anxieties....this sermon was a helpful reminder that our loving Savior is there. Thank you for this powerful message.

Pastor preaches from the perspective that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Pastor spoke of the fact that our Lord Jesus spoke more about hell than heaven during his earthly ministry. Also, that those who are considered the chaff are those who have not been converted and are on there way to hell for an eternity to pay for their sins. Listening to this sermon has increased the urgency in my life to be as faithful as a witness as I possibly can be through God's grace in order to help others to see the light of the glorious gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ which sets the captives free from the bondage of sin and Satan. And some have compassion, making a difference. And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

A great sermon on the sufficiency of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ! Pastor also gives a good explanation of what it means to be regenerated/born-again/quickened by the Spirit. The basis of our forgiveness is Jesus Christ and we are complete in him. Oh what a relief it is to be enabled by the Spirit to trust in Jesus and his finished work on the cross!

Been fellowshipping at Calvary Baptist in Westminster MD for 8-months now. Every so often I log onto Sermon Audio to listen to one of Pastor Leaman's messages from before I started fellowshipping at Calvary. I am so blessed to hear God's word faithfully expounded and taught. It truly helps me to fight the good fight of faith and to want to shine for Jesus. However I know that it's really Him shinning through me because I am crucified with Christ and it is no longer I who live but Christ who is taking up residence. For the life I now live in this flesh I live by the faith of the son of God who loved me and gave himself for me. God forbid I should glory save in the cross of my Lord Jesus Christ. To God be the glory for the great things he has done through the preaching of the gospel. Amen.

A sermon that should be listened to by those who have fallen into sin, and had been restored by God's grace. Sad is the person who has been sidelined by the church. Told that they should now be spectators only & not be involved in speaking on behalf of Christ. Peter was told in Luke 22 when you turn strengthen your brethren. I believe you may no longer meet the qualifications to be in the office of an elder, but never shut up, rather tell people of God's love, mercy & grace. Satan is the accuser of the brethren. That is not a title that belongs to the church. Restore one that has fallen & then rejoice with them in the grace of God. Don't silence them!!

Well done in emphasizing our faith is required to appropriate salvation which is generally not emphasized his other sermons that focus on God's grace only which is not by itself how one enters heaven. In other words, God's grace is offered to all, but only those who exercise their faith in Christ will be saved. Again, faith first and then regeneration not vice versa which I dont recall hearing clearly from any sermons.

Truly this was a outstanding sermon. More pastors need to preach like this.
