Doesn’t Seaford have enough churches? What could one more church possibly do for Seaford? Well, that answer is simple—be a gospel witness for the Lord, bring hope and discipleship from the gospel to the lost, and bring encouragement to the Lord’s sheep.
The Lord Jesus Christ commissioned the apostles to “go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And, Lo, I am with you always even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:19-20).”
Not many days after those words, the church came into existence (Acts 2:1-4). From that moment, those men preached the gospel, and the Lord saved many people (Acts 2:14-40). They were added into the church, learning the Lord’s doctrine, fellowshipping with one another, and sharing the gospel (Acts 2:37-47). Consequently, the church has persevered for two thousand years by God’s grace to this very day. Its singular mission is to love the community they are a part of with the good news—the gospel.
That is what Hope Bible Church desires to do in Seaford. We desire to proclaim Christ to make disciples of Christ. We believe that God the Father planned salvation, the Son accomplished it, and the Holy Spirit applies it (2 Corinthians 13:14; Ephesians 1:3-14; 2 Thessalonians 16-17; 1 Peter 1:1-5; Jude 24-25). And He desires His adopted children to know these truths (Ephesians 1:18-23; Philippians 1:9-11; Colossians 1:9-12). It is the hope that is found in those truths we desire to proclaim. We want Seaford to know there is hope found only in Jesus Christ (Colossians 1:27; 1 Thessalonians 1:3; 1 Timothy 1:1).
That is why we are called Hope Bible Church. We are a church plant sent out by Berean Community Church. We have been around for 2 years, teaching and preaching sound doctrine, training men to shepherd the flock, and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ in the community.
Therefore, if you are looking for hope, this is the church for you. If you are looking for a church where you can grow in the knowledge of God, this is the church for you. If you are looking for a church where the Bible is the supreme authority for all faith and godliness, this is the church for you. If you are looking for a church where the gospel is taught, this is the church for you. If you are looking for a church where love is the bond and unity amongst members is primary this is the church for you. Your soul depends on it. Do not settle for anything less.
