Another excellent eye-opening presentation by Dr Cooke, which exposes False Teachers amongst professing 'evangelicals' inside the church. His comments about the difference between the Tractarians / Oxford Movement and Puseyism / Puseyites was very informative, and helps to put the history of apostasy in the Church of England, and most of its offshoots, into proper historical context. The revelation that high ranking Romanist clergy didn't want to convert Puseyites to Rome, so that they could act as a fifth column inside Episcopalianism, was startling; however, it partially explains why there was widespread jettison of the Thirty-Nine Articles, and almost everything else that was authentically Episcopalian and Protestant. Recording is well worth sharing with others, as is Dr Cooke's whole series 'Theological Unawareness'.

I've been of the opinion now for several years that Dr Ron Cooke is one of the most important Evangelical Protestant theologians / church historians of the late 20th century, early 21st century. I find it hard to believe that the approximately one hundred books he has written are not more widely read. I've never heard or read anyone from the aforementioned period who is more courageous in saying what needs to be said, and who has more insight into ascertaining what is wrong with the apostate contemporary church. I would encourage you to obtain his books, and read the whole collection if possible: it is an eye opener. I don't say this lightly, and I have never met Dr Cooke personally; but this gentleman's work is far more important than is recognised currently.

Christ is the way to the Church. The Church isn't the way to Christ. Excellent summary. Any church that says they are the way to Christ is of the spirit of the Antichrist.

This is an excellent sermon dealing with the danger that lies in walking by sight instead of by faith. The things which are seen are of no value while the things which are unseen are eternal.
