Roy Goodson

Dr. William "Roy" Goodson, 91, husband of Lois Goodson, passed away on March 28, 2017.

Born on May 25, 1925, in Woodstock, Georgia, he was the son of the late Hanan and Lillie Goodson. He was a veteran of the US Navy, having served in World War II. Shortly after his conversion, he felt called to the Gospel ministry. He served as a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ for 67 years.
Both privately and publicly, he often expressed great joy in preaching the Word of God, spending time with his family, and sharing jokes. During his ministry, he mainly served as an itinerant evangelist, but also pastored several churches, including the Lighthouse Baptist Church of Pageland, SC. He was laid to rest at the Swan Pond Baptist Church Cemetery in Kingston, TN.
