W. Jack Hudson

Dr. W. Jack Hudson (1922-1990) was the founder of the Northside Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC. On their first Sunday in 1954 they started with 27 members and through the 36 years of ministry grew to over 5, 000 members. He was an author, Bible conference speaker, radio evangelist, race car driver, pilot, gourmet cook, husband, dad and grandfather. He lived his life helping those less fortunate, counseling those needing advice, giving direction to those seeking spiritual guidance and never uttering a negative word about a life of physical suffering. His gentleness and compassion have endeared him around the world. On June 3, 1990 Dr. W. Jack Hudson, because of his illness, retired as pastor of Northside Baptist Church. God called home this giant of the faith on October 5, 1990.
