Tom Hicks serves as the Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church in Clinton, Louisiana. A graduate of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, Tom earned both his M.Div. and Ph.D., specializing in Church History with an emphasis on Baptist studies and a minor in Systematic Theology. His doctoral research culminated in the work The Doctrine of Justification in the Theologies of Richard Baxter and Benjamin Keach.
Beyond the local church, Tom is deeply involved in theological education. He serves as an adjunct professor for the International Reformed Baptist Seminary (IRBS) and is a board member and adjunct professor at Covenant Baptist Theological Seminary (CBTS). He is also the author of, What is a Reformed Baptist?, which has been translated into Spanish.
Tom is happily married to Joy, his greatest earthly blessing. They are the parents of three beautiful young ladies—Sophie, Karlie, and Rebekah—and one adventurous son, David.
