Dr. Sterling Walsh

Dr. Sterling E. Walsh Jr. is the Senior Pastor of Lighthouse Baptist Church of Greater York. Raised in rural Carroll County, Maryland, he accepted Christ at age 11 and sensed God’s call to ministry as a teenager. Alongside his wife Janet—also a music educator—he has faithfully served in church and Christian education for decades. Dr. Walsh holds degrees in music and ministry, including master’s and doctorate degrees from Independent Baptist colleges, and has been ordained to the Gospel Ministry since 1992. In 2003, he was called to Lighthouse Baptist Church, where the Lord has grown the congregation from a small beginning to a thriving ministry reaching hundreds weekly. With a heart for preaching, music, evangelism, and discipleship, Dr. Walsh remains committed to seeing lives changed by the grace of Jesus Christ.
