The Way of Glory

Philippians 2:1-13 presses upon us the highest example possible - the self-humbling action of Christ who, though He shared the very glory and form of God, humbled Himself and took on the form of a servant in our flesh, becoming obedient to the point of a cursed death on a cross. It is this One whose humanity has been lifted to the highest place and given the name above every name. This model of humble service is not an impossible ideal but a Christ enabled and Spirit empowered reality of what the Father intends for each of our lives as we look to the interests of others before our own.
