Acts 24:1-14
Series The Acts (2007-08)
Paul is now ready to face his accusers in front of Felix, a former slave who has ascended to the level of governor by deceit and ruthlessness. But, insead of facing eyewitnesses, Paul faces a professional orator named Tertullus who bootlicks Felix and levels lies against Paul.
We will begin to look at Paul's response and end our study by considering the common experiences of Bible Believers as they suffer persecution, are called by names of derision and falsely accused of being HERETICS.
Bible Believers have always been called HERETICS throughout the centuries under the oppression of the Roman Catholic Institution, Eastern Orthodoxy (Greek, Russian, etc.), mainline Protestantism and all false world religions. This has resulted in violence, oppression, torture, imprisonment and death.
We will stop at verses 14-15 and pick up there in our next study.
