With Fear and Trembling

In Philippians 2:12-13, the Apostle Paul tethers our personal responsibility to "work out our own salvation" to the absolute sovereignty of God which guarantees the command will actually be carried out. We will work out our salvation "with fear and trembling" when we realize that it is the Almighty God of heaven and earth who is at work in us, bringing about our willingness and providing us with the ability to pursue obedience to His purpose.
