The Road to Greatness

Aim: To see that true greatness is found only in Christlikeness.

Exegesis: The road to greatness leads us to Christ's sovereignty. He knows everything about us (v. 33), and sanctifies everything in us (v. 34). The road to greatness leads us to Christ's service. This begins with our fellowship with Him (v. 35a), and this ends with our devotion to Him (v. 35b). The road to greatness leads us to Christ's salvation. Our nobleness is demonstrated in dependence (v. 36a), trust (v. 36b), and love (vv. 36c-37).
