God's Suffering Servant 1

The mission would bring inestimable joy, yet at the same time it was desperately sad. His Father had carefully prepared a body in which His Son would bear unspeakable agony. They gaze at one another with delight, yet the Son is stepping out to suffer, and the Father preparing to punish. There is no victim mentality here, only a manly resolve to accomplish this eternal victory with unshakeable fortitude!
It is hard to describe the bitter sweet joy sorrow that rises in the heart at the sight of the Servant of Jehovah withdrawing from heaven's glory to the body of a man, conceived in the virgin Mary. While He is unflinching, He is not an uncaring, brutal soldier. While He grasps the grand universal theme of God, He is not overpowered with pride. Such power and weakness melted together in one Person paints a portrait of beauty that can be described in the name; Jesus, the SERVANT of JEHOVAH.
