Put Away a Lying Tongue

Lying is more than speech. We can lie with a look and with silence. Our responsiblity, as Christians, is to live out what God has worked in us.

God's Word tells us that 'all men are liars.' The habit of falsehood must be dropped.

Lying is an abomination to God no matter where we find it. Paul is specifically speaking to believers. When members of the body lie, this destroys the truth. Telling the truth kills a lie.

Plain and truthful speech must characterize the Church of Jesus Christ.
