Ephesians-part 1

This is the introductory message for the book of Ephesians. We look at the 19th Chapter of Acts for background information about the beginning of the Church in Ephesus. Paul began preaching in the synagogue and then when he became unwelcome he moved the believers to the meeting place of Tyrannus for two years. Later an uproar ensued against the Christians as this new faith threatened the livelihood of those who made idols and wares for the god Artemis. Through Acts 19 we see the growth of "The Way" in Ephesus and the great darkness of the occult that resided there. This is the backdrop into which Ephesians was written.
